Planned for 16 October 2026 to 16 October 2026
easyJet crew strike in Italy, 16 October: will your flight go, and are you owed?
The USB Lavoro Privato union has called a 24-hour strike of easyJet's flight crew based in Italy, pilots and cabin crew, from 00:00 to 23:59 Italian time on Friday 16 October 2026. It is on the Italian transport ministry's strike register. Ground staff at Pisa and Florence airports have a separate 24-hour strike the same day.
easyJet had not announced cancellations when this page was last checked. The union says the strike is going ahead, but how many crew walk out decides how many flights are hit.

Who it affects
- easyJet crews based in Italy
- easyJet flights between Italy and the UK that those crews operate
Are you owed money? Possibly, yes
This is a strike by the airline's own crew, which courts have usually ruled is within the airline's control. If your easyJet flight is cancelled with less than 14 days' notice, which covers anything cancelled from now on, or lands 3 hours or more late because of the strike, you may be owed compensation for everyone on the booking. You can also take a full refund or a new flight instead of travelling.
The amount is set by distance: £220, £350 or £520 each, or €250, €400 or €600 each on flights from the EU. See cancelled flight compensation.
